About Us
Yeshiva Leadership Group was founded by Rabbi Yerachmiel Garfield, Ed.D., in 2021 to explore how best school leadership can be supported. In the wake of COVID, our communities have been alerted to the importance of our schools and their leadership being effective and impactful. Yeshiva Leadership Group was formed to address the “Top Team” of our school organizations. By providing networking opportunities, professional development, school visits, and targeted coaching, YLG is ready to support our schools.
Our Services
YLG provides a range of services aimed at helping educational institutions, particularly Yeshivas and other schools, thrive both academically and administratively.
Strategic Planning & Vision Development: Assisting schools in creating clear, actionable plans that align with their long-term vision, ensuring that both spiritual and academic goals are met.
Curriculum Development: Crafting and refining educational programs, incorporating both Torah studies and general studies, to support a well-rounded student experience.
Leadership & Faculty Development: Offering training and mentoring for school leaders, teachers, and administrators to enhance their leadership skills, classroom management, and instructional techniques.
Communication & Parent Engagement: Developing effective communication strategies to keep parents informed and engaged in the school’s vision, student progress, and events.
Operational Efficiency: Advising on the improvement of daily operations, including transportation logistics, campus management, classroom environments, and resource allocation to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
Crisis Management & Problem Solving: Providing expert guidance in addressing challenges such as teacher turnover, student retention, or logistical issues, helping schools navigate through difficult situations.

Last year I took a position as a General Studies principal of a small boys’ school. With little administrative experience, it behooved me to work with a coach to support and navigate the challenges. Rabbi Garfield met/spoke with me on average twice a month. He listened, gave feedback, made suggestions, and supported me when navigating the frustrations of high expectations. When preparing for staff meetings and professional development, he had many valuable and stimulating ideas; he followed up with conversations to reflect.
When parents were challenging, he supported me with guidance about who should be responsible. He suggested books to read that focused my thinking on the particulars and goals of the curriculum that would be most appropriate for our school. Overall, besides his wisdom, knowledge, and support, he was lovely and easy to converse with. Rabbi Garfield helped me grow this past year, and I value and appreciate the experience of working with him.
